The Education Business Awards took place as part of Education Business Live on 19 March 2025. Milestone is proud to announce that it was awarded the SEN Provision Award, presented by Kate Bellingham, at an event in Battersea Park, London.
The SEN Provision Award is “Presented to the UK SEN Establishment that can demonstrate an increase in the quality of care and education services provided to students with Special Educational Needs.”
Leigh Academy Milestone was recognised for its groundbreaking work in introducing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme to the school, redefining what is possible in a special educational needs environment and dramatically enhancing the quality of education in the Academy.
Kyle Marsh (Assistant Principal and IB Coordinator) and Frances Rimmer (Assistant IB Coordinator) accepted the award on behalf of the entire Milestone community.
Speaking after the event, Kyle said, “Being an IB World School means our students are put on an equal footing with students in all kinds of schools, all around the globe. It gives us a chance to enrich our lives culturally, and helps connect Milestone students to the modern world. We are so proud of all that we have achieved and look forward to doing even more.”
