Game, Set, Match! Students Shine at Inclusive Tennis Festival

Students from Comet class (Milestone@LAD) recently enjoyed an unforgettable experience at an Inclusive Tennis Festival, hosted with great success at Aylesford School.

The festival was a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, accessibility, and inclusion, designed to ensure that every single student could confidently pick up a racket and have a truly brilliant time – regardless of ability or prior experience with the sport. The atmosphere was immediately warm and encouraging, setting the stage for a day of fun and achievement.

Throughout the day, the students rotated through a well-organised carousel of activities. These sessions were crafted to develop fundamental skills such as hand-eye coordination and movement  in a highly engaging and fun environment. Each activity was designed to build confidence incrementally, allowing the students to feel a sense of accomplishment, and the focus was firmly on participation and effort.

The day was filled with positive energy, encouragement, laughter, and deep engagement from all the amazing pupils who attended. Our students represented Milestone with immense pride and exemplary behaviour. They demonstrated incredible resilience as they enthusiastically tackled every new challenge and skill presented to them.

The students returned to school completely exhausted—a testament to their enthusiastic participation—but their tiredness was overwhelmingly eclipsed by a buzz of excitement and pride. They were eager to share stories of their successes and their new tennis skills!

Well done to all of the students who took part!
