Next week, from the 27th January until the 4th February is National Storytelling Week. National Storytelling Week is a celebration of the art of storytelling and the power stories can have to connect, entertain and inspire people of all ages. During this week we will be coming together to share and enjoy stories through various different mediums.

Each class, across all phases, has selected a ‘Traditional Tale’ for the week’s learning to be based around, offering the students lots of immersive and exciting learning opportunities and experiences. There will also be lots of storytelling opportunities throughout the week as well as visits to our local libraries and school library for sensory story sessions. The week will end with a whole day storytelling workshop with ‘In a nutshell- a fun and immersive Theatre in Education company’.

To add to the excitement, on Friday 2nd February we invite the children in our Primary College (Phase 1 & 2) to come in costume, dressed as a character from a traditional tale; e.g. ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, ‘The Three Little Pigs’, ‘The Gingerbread Man’, etc.
