On Thursday 29th February, ten students from Milestone’s Phase 3 took part in the Kent School Games Sportshall Athletics competition, hosted at Cobham Hall School. Our students thoroughly enjoyed competing against students from other secondary schools in the local area. The event offered a fantastic character-building opportunity for those taking part. This was a busy event with hundreds of people and lots of noise, however despite some initial nervousness and apprehension, it was amazing to see our students settle quickly and embrace the chance to challenge themselves in a competitive situation.
Milestone was represented by five girls and five boys competing in separate track and field events including: agility runs, two-lap sprints, four-lap sprints, triple jump, vertical jump and shot put. It was a great day and fun was had by all. We welcome every opportunity for our students to participate in as many sports and events as possible and we look forward to continuing our ongoing programme of extra-curricular activities this year, including lots more Kent School Games events.
