Some of Milestone’s older students were as busy as Santa’s elves last week, making visits in the community to spread a little festive cheer.
On Tuesday 10th December, students from Phase 3 and 4 attended the New Ash Green Memory Clinic, where they performed Christmas carols to the elderly members and their carers. They were fantastic, not only singing but also signing all the songs. On Thursday 12th December, Phase 3 students visited Kentwood House care home, once again performing a range of Christmas songs through vocals and signing.
They were both fantastic events, enjoyed by all. Our students demonstrated excellent communication skills as they connected with residents and carers, and challenged themselves to perform and develop their self-confidence.
