Milestone@Wilmington students gain valuable insight from visiting Police Constable

On 14th January, a group of students from Milestone@Wilmington had the invaluable opportunity to meet and engage with a local Police Constable who visited school to talk to them about the very important topic of hate crime.

The Constable delivered a comprehensive and informative presentation, during which students listened attentively and demonstrated a keen interest in the subject matter. They learnt about the differing forms that hate crime can take, including racial, religious, and homophobic offences, and the detrimental impact these have on individuals and communities.

During the session active participation was encouraged, with students engaging in discussions and asking pertinent questions, thus fostering a greater understanding of this critical issue whilst promoting a more inclusive environment within our own school community.
