Fellowship of the Fairy Ring

Pupils and a teacher sitting in the fairy circle

Last week we took delivery of our new Forest School fairy ring seats and they are lovely! A cosy nook has been created near the wooded area and class teams have been encouraging students to explore the new realm!

On sunny days, the children will find a selection of reading books waiting for them to share. On cooler days the little haven provides a perfect place for classes to extend their forest school lesson and reflect on their learning.

Nestled in Milestone’s Forest School area, we look forward to spending many happy times here in the years to come!

This picture shows an outdoor setting with a unique seating arrangement. In the center of a grassy area, there's a large, grand-looking wooden chair, resembling a throne, made of light-colored wood. Arranged in a circle around this central "throne" are several smaller, rustic seats. These seats appear to be made from tree stumps or logs, with a cut-out section to form a backrest, giving them a natural and simple look. There are at least eleven of these smaller seats visible, creating a gathering space. The area is surrounded by lush green foliage, suggesting it's in a natural or semi-natural environment like a garden, park, or woodland edge. To the right, a chain-link fence is visible, and beyond that, there appears to be more greenery and possibly some structures in the distance. The overall impression is that of an outdoor storytelling circle or a designated area for imaginative play, perhaps a "fairy circle" or "nature's meeting place."
