M@W students get creative in Graffiti Stars Workshop

An indoor image featuring a large piece of graffiti art on a wall. The art displays the words "ALL ARE WELCOME" in large, bold red and yellow letters, with smaller writing underneath that says "Celebrating Inclusion." The room has a white ceiling and yellow walls.

Students at Milestone @ Wilmington had an amazing time during a recent workshop with graffiti artist Leon from Graffiti Stars. Together, Leon and our young people had a blast as they created two vibrant pieces of art for display.

The first piece was an inclusive welcoming sign for the main building, while the second was a fun new sign for the M@W café. Each student had the opportunity to get involved in the creative process, choosing colours, shapes, and words that reflected their ideas. It was inspiring to see them collaborate and express themselves through art. A massive thank you to Leon and everyone who participated!

This image shows an indoor setting, likely a cafe or kitchen area, with several young people preparing food or drinks. There are grey cabinets and appliances, and a large piece of colorful graffiti art spelling out "M.V. cafe" is displayed on the wall above the cabinets.
